Strawberry is one of the most popular fruits in the world; these have gained popularity because of their rich red color and their tastes. Strawberries are a favorite of almost everyone from kids to adults. Strawberries are available around all year. However, the best strawberries can be found from the month of April to the month of July.

There are thousands of varieties of strawberries, though almost all look alike, these might differ in taste.
Strawberry is as beneficial for health as it is attractive, therefore including strawberry in your diet regularly can provide you relief from some diseases and also nutrition.

Strawberries are rich in Vitamin C, it is believed by the scientists that this quality of strawberries helps fight polyarthritis which is a form of rheumatoid arthritis. Strawberry is also a rich source of vitamins, folate, riboflavin, manganese, omega-3 fatty acids, etc.
Strawberries are also rich in Vitamin B6.

Strawberries are rich in dietary fiber, this makes it easy and light to digest and therefore can be consumed by young children and older adults alike, strawberries do not require any special preparation for consumption, you can just remove the stem and cut strawberries into half and put in as a tasty addition to any cereal. For all those who love the taste of strawberries do not need to include it any dish, strawberries are as tasty to be eaten as a fruit rather than include it in some dish.

Strawberries are especially beneficial to the aged since it controls macular degeneration and this food rich in vitamins and folate is able to control loss of eyesight. However, for some strawberries might trigger allergic reaction, for these it is better to avoid strawberries. All those people who have gall bladder stone or kidney stone too require to avoid strawberries since these are known to be oxalates, that means these can produce crystal like substances which might lead to health problems. Strawberries also problems to people who have untreated thyroid problem, such people should avoid strawberries since these may interfere in functioning of thyroid gland.

At the time of buying strawberries you need to ensure that these look bright red in color, discoloration might mean that the fruit has been damaged, also do not use strawberries that are punctured or those which are not firm, this means that the fruit is not fresh and might be contaminated. You can store these in the refrigerator for a week.
